Substantially, the post is really one of the best on this notable theme. I concur with your conclusions and will eagerly look forward to your future updates. Just saying thanks will not be enough, for the great lucidity in your writing. I will bookmark your URL instantly and I will check back often in order to stay abreast of any news. Good work and much success in your business! I read an article yesterday of how organizing e-mail can increase productiveness. You find this great article here: Articles Base.

Vista .... not for the faint of heart in my opinion. There are just so many things to take into consideration.....
Will all of my current software run on Vista?
Will all of my printers, scanners, external drives, etc. run on Vista?

I have a Vista laptop with 4 megs of ram and a huge harddrive it should run circles around my nearly 3 year old XP desktop with only 2 megs of ram and it doesn't. I can't get Vista compatible drivers for my Lexmark duplex printer. And so help me, I hate the Vista User Account Control popping up everytime I turn around nagging me about something that I need to do, like install a software update for our software so I can test it on Vista.

I also can't stand the fact that after years of creating my own computer filing storage system that Vista only wants me to save stuff where it wants it to be vs where I need it to be.

I'm staying with my XP machine for as long as I possibly can.

I hear Windows 7 is supposed to be better (ya right) it has multiple layers to the User Account Control, so let's just try to support that as a software developer who has to document how the UAC has to be set up in order for our software to interface correctly with QuickBooks!

I did just download the Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) and will start working with that. Stay tuned for posts in the Maad Rants section.

I have a question that may be off topic but I am looking for advice as to upgrade to Windows Vista or not. My PC is currently running XP.
Are there pitfalls that one should consider ?
