IMPORTANT Revisions to U.S. Department of Labor/Federal WH-347 Reporting Mandates Regarding Protecting the Privacy of Workers. January 9, 2009 Affected Audience: All prime/general contractors and subcontractors required to file the Federal WH-347 Certified Payroll form on prevailing wage projects. Background: On October 20, 2008 the U.S. Department of Labor published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the Federal Register (73 FR 62229) which invited comments until November 19, 2008, on proposed revisions to update current regulatory standards in order to better protect worker privacy for contracts covering federally financed and federally-assisted construction contracts.  Specifically the proposed revisions affect the reporting of employee addresses and social security numbers on the Federal WH-347 certified payroll reports. We've noticed that an increasing number of "QuickBooks consultants" {ProAdvisors, CPA's, Intuit Solution Providers, etc} have been signing up for our newsletter; and that has got me to "thinking" about a "Consultant's Corner" section of the Support Area - but what types of articles do you need? Building/maintianing a website

Building and then maintaining a website can be (and sometimes is) a full time job! Back in January of 2001, when we first launched an "official" website, it was like 5 pages as we just had the certified payroll add-on {OH, THOSE were the days!}. Back then, I knew nothing about website design or the"dreaded HTML" that was required to create one.  Ben did our original website, and I'd very carefully open it up with NotePad and edit it, always looking for "something" in there that looked like REAL words and text.  Nine times out of 10, I'd do something to "break" the website and he'd have to fix it.  OOPS!
